A new kind of family?

I was watching TV the other day with my wife and some of her friends, and on of the programs that we were watching were repeated ads for programs keyed for "a new kind of family." Sometimes it seems like everyone is trying to completely get rid of all of the strong family and moral values that have been the center of our world for so many years. I am not gonna lie, it is hard to constantly see infidelity, premarital sex, teen pregnancy, divorce and other moral issues played down over and over and over again. I know that that is not what our parents were taught, or what our parents' parents were taught, so why is it that it seems like the definition of the family is changing so quickly? I have seen in my life how strong families centered on values of love and morality can and are meant to be our greatest sources of happiness and support. My parents taught and showed my that, and my beautiful wife has given me a new look at family like I never thought possible. Raising and being part of a successful family is a hard thing today, but it is possible. One of the things that my family has always tried to apply in our lives is called The Family: A Proclamation to the World. It was released in 1995 by the late prophet of the LDS church Gordon B. Hinckley, the First Presidency and the Twelve Apostles. Check it out and see what you think!
